Train Wreck

A pop up rave to promote a sense of urgency for taking collective action. Through visual artwork and analog electronic music a setting was created to reflect the mood of a dystopian future that we may find ourselves in.

Post-Distortion Wake Call

Distortion had passed through the island. Heaps of plastic spluttered on the ground, covering almost every inch of soil. Disconnected from nature – the world felt distorted, wrecked, burnt.

We are losing sight of how nature and humans fit together. We are in a great imbalance with our surrounding environment. We wanted to feel connected again, to each other and to our surrounding environment.

On 06.06.19 we embarked on a journey to rekindle that connection. The journey started at The Wreck.

The Underwater City
In the depths of Illutron we transformed the engine room into an underwater City, a wreck at the bottom of the world. A unique space where our sound masters glitched space and time deep under the waves.

A unique night of live music with very special physical and atmospheric parameters. Music is still deeply rooted at our space, formerly known as GARAGEN. It has been a home to a music collective for the past four years and live music has always been played, recorded and lived here.

Over the last 9 months, an entity spawned from a space where ideas can live and interact – a true community. There have been jams, parties, workshops, talks and we continue to explore new projects, bringing in new people who want to be part of this growing family.

Our community speaks from the perspective of different languages, places and skills, together able to elevate one another in our shared dream. We create things; play music, build events, and imagine new horizons for one another.

To celebrate the studio launch we are co-created an experience on 28th June. An open call to our community.
